Over the weekend I was invited by Nordstrom at Pentagon City Mall to check out the new Tom Ford fragrance collection (post coming soon on that) and have a facial done by the experts over at Kate Somerville. I’ve only had a hand full of facials done in my life because I have sensitive skin and am kind of afraid to use my skin as a testing ground for so many different skin care products. However, the facial experience I had with Kate Somerville is totally worth writing about since I’m still seeing the benefits of the treatments 2 days later!
Cleaners and make up removers.
First to go on, was the Gentle Daily Wash for $32. The wash felt so light I didn’t think it could get all my make up off but did and left a nice fresh feeling on my face.
After the wash they used the Lash Enhancing Eye Make up Remover for $35. I use eye liner and mascara every single day. So to have a product that removes eye make up safely while helping to keep your precious eye lashes in tact is a huge bonus for me!
Exfoliators and Masks
Next up the ExfoliKate Intensive Exfoliating Treatment $22 to $175. I could feel the product working right away on my problem areas around my nose and forehead. Even after it was washed off I could still feel the product hard at work.
Serums and Treatments
Hands down my favorite product out of the whole facial experience! The DermalQuench Liquid Lift Advanced Wrinkle Treatment for $95. The facial expert focused the treatment on the fine lines around my nose and mouth. It literally looked like I had botox done to fill in the lines. Magic in a bottle I tell you!
Once the wrinkle treatment was complete we moved onto the Quench Oil Free Hydrating Face Serum for $65. This serum was a breath of fresh air on my face since I don’t like heavy oliy based treatments on my skin. It felt so light I had to check out the bottle to make sure it was serum cause I couldn’t believe it.
Moisturizers
Next was another favorite of mine the Nourish Daily Moisturizer $65 to $120. I am eternally on the look out for a good light daily moisturizer that won’t add to break outs or leave a greasy film on my skin. This moisturizer was just what I’ve been looking for.
Eye Care
The last treatment in my facial experience was the CytoCell Dark Circle Corrective Eye Cream for $75. I do have dark circles and should probably be more proactive in treating them. Finding this eye care treatment fills in the gap in my eye care regiment.
I walked away from the facial experience feeling like I just got a new face! Every product was light, non greasy and treated my problem areas without any harsh after feeling. The Kate Somerville skin care line have amazing products I recommend to anyone looking to expand their skin care regiment.
