I Need a Dress for a Wedding. Oh & It’s a Mini Reunion Too, Pressure Much?
For the last 5 years I have traveled around the world and in doing so have made life long friendships with some amazing people. I grew up in the Toronto area and while teaching in South Korea, met some incredible people that magically were from the same area as well. One friend in particular (Ginge) is getting married in two weeks in Toronto and I will be heading back there to watch my friend walk down the aisle. I must tell you that I am totally weird in the sense of weddings since I have only attended one North American wedding and two Korean weddings, so I do not have much experience in going out and buying a “dress for a wedding”.
I put the fashion pressure on myself and think about the outfit as a dress for Ginge’s wedding, a homecoming and also a mini reunion of people I knew in South Korea. Ummm wait, isn’t it Ginge’s wedding and the pressure should be on her? and not your silly little outfit?

Was I putting to much pressure on myself? was it more of a “we haven’t seen each other in a long time, she will think this, they will say that?” or did I forget that at the end of the day, it’s Ginge’s day not mine and my outfit will be nothing but another dress to a party. Probably a mixture of all of the above but then again, the first step is admitting it right?
