I’m so happy to announce a new week of guest bloggers for a segment I like to call, Latina Blogger week. Since I am Latina (born in Medellin, Colombia) I thought it was time to feature Latina bloggers that I truly admire and that bring a voice to the fashion blogging community. I’ve asked a special group of Latina ladies to share their favorite holiday outfits with us for the entire week.
Please join me in welcoming Brazilian blogger Ana from the blog Ana In Style.
The holiday season has just started and the question that every woman is asking herself is: “What should I wear to the Christmas party?, dinner with the company? and many other festive events which take place this time of year.
One of my favorite trends this year is the use of lacey materials in all sorts of winter clothing, including dresses, skirts, shirts, and even coats. I always feel like lace is so feminine and elegant, so today’s tip for the holiday season is, if you don’t know what to wear…go with lace. You’ll look great in it and it’s sure to be a hit.
My choice to show you guys is this fabulous little black dress from Zara, which I picked up a couple of months ago. It’s a nice length, it has a lace sleeve that shows a little bit of skin, but nothing too showy.
For this type of dress you can use either sandals or pumps. Since the weather is so cold outside right now, pumps and tights would be a better choice. These pictures were taken a couple of weeks ago when it wasn’t too cold outside, so I opted for sandals.
To complete this look I threw on this fabulous red jacket from Zara. This coat is an awesome statement piece. After seeing it two or three times in the store, I finally had to “pull the trigger” and make it mine. I love, love, love this jacket!!
Let me tell you something…every woman should own a red jacket.
For accessories I kept it simple, with a cute clutch from TJ Maxx and some bright red nail polish.
This is a perfect look for a special holiday event. A black lace dress can come in handy anytime of year, which makes it a great investment piece.
