I’ve been a long time follower and admirer of Angelica’s blog Angelica in the City and her mommy-centric blog Clarendon Moms. As a matter of fact, one of the first blogs my web developer/husband started following for me back in 2013, when I launched my blog, was Clarendon Moms. Needless to say, I’ve been a huge fan of Angelica’s and always wanted to meet her. To have the opportunity to style her is a blogger/fan girl’s dream come true!
Angelica is a entrepreneur who is married and has two beautiful children. Her life is extremely busy as she goes from school drop off to Orange Theory to meetings with prominent business owners in the area to the latest openings of DC’s hot spots. She is a woman on the go wearing many hats in one day. This is where I jump in to style outfits to go with her many hats.
Meeting at one of Angelica’s favorite spots to shop in Clarendon, Market Common Clarendon, the first look I styled for Angelica was the “Entrepreneur, mommy on the go look”. I put together a look that was an easy, grab and go. The best part, all the pieces in this outfit are strong individual pieces you can wear together or as fabulous separates.

A good rule to follow in pairing colors with prints is balancing out the top and bottom by throwing in a print to break up the color blocking. This color palette is a fall favorite of mine.
Can a boss lady get a minute to sit and check emails? Why yes she can and look fabulous while doing it.
These shoes by Target are a fall must have. Don’t let the height of the heel deceive you, they are actually pretty comfortable.

The second look I styled for Angelica was even easier than the first one. We all have our fall back “Little Black Dress” that is essential to a successful grab and go moment. Angelica can take her LBD up a notch by grabbing a standout piece like this mustered color moto jacket and add a subtle necklace to bring a complimentary, hard and soft feeling to her entire look.

Going from day time casual to date night, I styled Angelica in a beautiful blazer cape that I found on Amazon, yup you read that right, Amazon! The stand out piece to this look was this beautiful dress by Loft. This dress can be worn with flats and a cardigan during the day and be glammed up for a night out on the town with a blazer cape, heels and a clutch.

For weekend looks I went with a fall staple, the poncho. Perfect for a day at the pumpkin patch or brunch with the ladies.

As we chased the light for our last look, I had to get Angelica into this outfit. I love the red pants paired with a chambray blouse and jewel toned scarf. You can wear this outfit with knee high boots, ankle boots, heels and flats. This look has an ease to it and can go from day to night if you are in a pinch. Add on a black moto jacket to take the outfit to “night on the town” chic.

I have to thank Angelica for allowing me the opportunity to work with her and style some new looks for her fall winter wardrobe.
