Fall is in full swing and while most of my friends and family are on the east coast and dressed a lot warmer than I am, I’m lucky to live in a place where I can transition summer pieces into my fall styles. We’re in October and it’s still high 80s sometimes 90s here in Houston, (Thats 26 to 32 in Canada lol), so dressing for fall can be a challenge when it’s still mid summer temperatures.
The dress I bought in April from Francesca’s and wore it as my “around the house” dress all summer long. I can’t for the life of me wear closed toe shoes in hot weather unless it’s a pair of chic heels or work out shoes. So there was no way I was gonna bring out the Duo booties until I deemed appropriate hehe.
It has been getting cooler in the evenings so a jean jacket is perfect for a nice fall stroll.
And by fall stroll I mean a fall stroll with Bradford.
And let’s talk about this killer hat I bought last fall and never got a chance to wear until now. It’s official, this is my favorite piece for fall/winter 2015-2016!
The Canadian girl in me misses wearing fall styles in the cooler months filled with Tim Horton’s hot chocolate, cable knit sweaters and a good scarf to snuggle up in. But then I remember Canadian winters and I’m like “MMMMM BETTER NOT”.
