Guest Blog – Monochromatic Outfits

Wow, it’s such a pleasure to be a guest blogger here on Style By Patty! When Patty kindly asked me to do a post for her I felt truly honoured. It’s super important to me that I work with people who inspire me and Patty encourages and inspires me to live my passions and share the life that creates those passions.

My blog is a place where I share parts of what makes my life Haute So Fabulous, the little things that excite me and give me creative energy. Most of all it’s a place where I feel free to share my greatest loves (fashion, fashion, fashion, oh and did I mention fashion?).

For today’s guest blog I have pieced together the details of one of my own personal style favourites, something that currently one might say I’m somewhat obsessed with, monochromatic outfits. Monochrome is something so close to my fashionista heart that I find myself wearing it more and more as time goes on. With Fall in full swing, my monochromatic outfits are fun and fabulous ways to mix the bright and the dark of the season.

Black and white to me is the perfect color combination. Polar opposites, they never fail to make an outfit stand out from the crowd.

Playing with textures is also a fun way to add some fabulosity to your look. Leather trimmings and well..pretty holy tights make for the perfect amount of spice to add to a simple look.

The transitional stage between Summer and Fall can be a difficult one sometimes. Getting dressed in the mornings one can often over/underestimate what the day will hold so I find that the perfect Fall boot is the answer to it all. Come hail, rain or shine, boots are sure to save the day (although perhaps not the weather unfortunately).

Waistline belts are a fun way to bring a little more detail to the mix and I love this one with it’s mirrored buckle and stretchy band. Comfy and chic.

As I said, monochromatic looks are one of my current obsessions but honestly, what would life be without a little pop of pink somewhere along the way?  It is crucial to have fun in your personal style, to enjoy it and be free to do whatever your heart desires.

Bags are definitely one of my greatest pleasures in life.  This oversized clutch is exactly how I like to complete this particular monochromatic look. With pretty detailing in the stitching, it’s a piece that has forever served me well throughout the years. My main focus in styling is always attention to detail. It’s in all the little things that make an outfit come together.

Thank you Patty and all you beautiful Patty readers for having me on today!

Love R x
