I can’t help but think there is something underneath the illusion of luxury, a little crack perhaps. I mean, nothing is perfect and even that lifestyle at some point can seem a bit lonely, maybe even boring. I’m fascinated by the idea of the high end lifestyle and the perception of time and money being a luxury for the few. I wanted to depict my interpretation of this concept through an editorial photo shoot with model Maggie Tehan, hair stylist and makeup artist Rachel Lane and photographer Dave Mentzer. With the help of these talented Washington, D.C. creatives, we were able to capture the illusion of luxury.

Sometimes we get caught up in the illusion of luxury but need to keep in mind that the definition of “Illusion” means: “A thing that is or is likely to be wrongly perceived or interpreted by the senses.” I would love to hear your thoughts on this photo shoot and what it made you feel or think?
A HUGE THANK YOU to my team of creatives Maggie Tehan, Rachel Lane and Dave Mentzer for your time, talent and positive energy on this project, I couldn’t have done this without you!
Keeping it Confident – Patty
